How it works
What
it means to work "through" me
It means I've placed you with my client to provide a specific service
for an agreed-upon time frame and hourly rate.
When I get a project that fits your skills and availability, I'll call and tell you all about it. You either accept or reject it. If you accept, I'll provide all of the details you'll need in order to show up prepared, on time and ready to work.
I handle all estimating, rate negotiations and scheduling up front so you don't have to. You just show up and do what you do.
How
you get paid
You track your hours on a timesheet, your manager signs it at
the end of each week, and you fax or email it by 10 a.m. Monday. You get
paid that Wednesday (direct deposit) or Friday (mailed paycheck).
Your withholdings are taken care of, so you don't have to deal with paying estimated taxes on any income you earn through my company.
How
I get paid
My fee come out of the client's hourly bill rate, never your pay rate.
What's
your commitment?
I do not require a formal contract from my freelancers. Only a psychic
one. That means I expect a few professional courtesies that I'll explain
to you once we decide to work together.
